               About the artist

Ira Stark grew up in the 1960’s on Long Island, NY. Influenced by the artistic talents of his mother and uncle, he took many art courses and developed a talent and passion for drawing and painting at Beloit College and graduated with a minor in art. After college, he reached the crossroads in his life when one must decide between a passion and reality and he made the life decision to pursue his career in medicine and eventually became a radiologist. “ Radiology works for me since my brain is hardwired to think and remember using visual imagery. My job is to look at X-rays and MRI scans which details the human body.” His passion for art was put on hold.

Art and especially impressionistic art continued to bewitch him. “Whenever I went to an art museum, I would be drawn to the Impressionists and would examine their techniques, lighting and colors. I would often say to myself, I can do that! Recently, I learned that my deceased artist uncle discovered a piece of my art from my college days and commented how much he was amazed by the quality of my work. This comment became the impetus for my personal renaissance. I now devote much of my free time to my passion, art."

" Over the years I have been in search of a new technique. I discovered a new exciting style that I call 4-Dimenional Serpiginous Abstraction. Click New Art.
